What age are Wunderkits designed for?
Our kits are made for ages 6+, with activity lengths and instructions designed to match their skill level, interest, and attention span. Younger kids can participate with adult supervision.
Are your kits safe and non-toxic?
Safety is our top priority. We carefully select gentle, kid-friendly ingredients and avoid harsh chemicals commonly found in commercial products, including SLS, detergents, parabens, and phthalates. As with any craft product, we recommend adult supervision and reviewing the full ingredient list if your child has specific sensitivities or allergies.
What do I need to have on hand?
Our kits are all-in-one, which means - for the most part - we include everything you need to open and go. But soap kits will need a microwave or double boiler to melt the soap. And bath kits usually need a large mixing bowl and spoon. Paper towels and space to create is a must!
Do the kits include lye for soap making?
Our kits are made for kids, so we only use melt & pour soap base, which is easy and fun to use. Melt & pour soap is great for beginners, because the mixing with lye part has already been done and it's ready to go!
