Is this kit safe for kids?

All Wunderkits ingredients are cosmetic-grade and are free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and synthetic dyes. Adult supervision is required for younger kids and recommended for older kids. Our kits are meant to be enjoyed together.

What age is this kit for?

This kit is designed for 9+. Younger kids will need more guidance from a grown-up; older kids can follow the illustrated WunderSquad manual fairly independently.

How many times can we use this kit?

This kit includes enough ingredients for for 3 creative sessions that make one large custom orb-shaped soap each time. The keepsake WunderBag works great for storing reusable tools or anything kids want to stash.

Is the finished product actually usable?

Everything kids make with Wunderkits uses cosmetic-grade ingredients, so the finished soap, bath bomb, or milk bath blend is real and ready to use. Kids can use it themselves or gift it.

The orbs look incredible in photos, but will my kid's actually turn out that way?

This project is surprisingly easy for kids to create three galaxy orb soaps using a simple melt and pour process. With their creativity taking lead, choosing scents, shimmers and colors, each one will be as unique as the stars above. And the final reveal/unmolding is hands down the most amazing part!

Why can't I get the isopropyl alcohol included if I choose expedited shipping?

Isopropyl alcohol is classified as a hazardous material under carrier regulations and can only be shipped by trucks on the ground. This means that if you choose expedited (air) shipping, the kit will ship with an empty bottle ready for you to fill from home (90% alcohol and above works best). The isopropyl alcohol is an optional tool that allows "gluing" layers together, but equally wow-worthy galaxy soaps can be made without it!
