Wunderkits comes from Wunderkind, German for “wonder child,” because every kid is full of wonder (and we think that’s worth celebrating).
Our mission
Wunderkits exists because we wanted DIY kits to feel easier, more thoughtful, and more enjoyable for families.
Some kits rely heavily on cutting and measuring, which can leave room for mistakes. Others assume you already have the right tools on hand. And when it comes to ingredients, it is not always clear what quality standards are being used or whether they are truly intended for use on skin. Where products are made can also matter, especially when consistency and oversight are important.
So we set out to do things a little differently.
Wunderkits are designed specifically for kids ages 6+, with pre-measured, cosmetic-grade ingredients, clear instructions, and everything included. Our kits are made in the U.S. and created with safety, transparency, and quality in mind, so parents can feel confident and kids can feel successful.
At the heart of it, Wunderkits are about slowing down, creating together, and making memories through wonder-filled moments of creativity and imagination.
About the founder
When I became a mom, I learned that kids don’t just want to make something, they want to own it. To hold it up and say, “I made this!” with the kind of grin you can’t fake. I also learned that most parents, like me, want projects that are fun and creative without the hassle of planning, shopping for odd supplies, and wasting leftovers.
So I built Wunderkits - bath and body kits that inspire curiosity, spark creativity, and leave kids with something real they can use or gift. Every kit comes with high-quality, kid-safe ingredients, reusable tools, and all the step-by-step guidance they need.
It started with my own kitchen-table experiments and my son as my unofficial product tester. He’s a teen now and far too cool for “most” crafts, except for our Galaxy Orb Soap Kit - that one he’ll drop everything for. Now my niece is my muse and we both are learning so much while planning and testing for the next great kit. Seeing both of them light up over something they made, reminds me exactly why I started this in the first place.
